WATER BRUSH
Add bodies of water on your map
This tool lets you paint or draw water areas on your map.

BRUSH AND SHAPES
You can choose to either paint the water with a brush of various sizes, in the same spirit as in the Terrain Brush Tool, or draw a shape, as in the Pattern Shape Tool.
Click either on the brush size or on the shape you want, then start painting or drawing by clicking on the map.
You can change the brush size with the MOUSE WHEEL or with [ and ].

Choose from preset shapes or draw your own using freeform mode by clicking on the corresponding shapes.
ERASING WATER
You can remove a part of your water body by doing the same as above while holding ⌥ ALT. Your painting area will turn blue and will be removed.
UNDERWATER ASSETS
The water is transparent, and anything set under the water layer will appear with different colors and with a very slightly distorted shape.
WATER COLORS
You can choose shallow water color (next to the edges of the water area) and the deep water color (far from the edges).
You can change the blending distance between the shallow and the deep water colors. The higher the number will be, the larger the blend will be.
BORDER
You can remove the black lines and keep only the color by clicking on Disable Border.
Pro Tip: Disable the border and set the shallow color to transparent to achieve a smooth blend with your terrain.
USEFUL INFO
KNOWN BUGS
Version: At least up to 1.2.0.1 Bug description: If you add large quantities of water and/or that your water touches the edge of the map, you might experience a bug in which the water is all over the place. Unfortunately there’s not much to do about it except reduce your water area. If you really need that much water, look for custom packs containing water patterns or terrain and use them to replace the water tool.
